General information sites are the simplest form of online marketing, but can be a very powerful marketing tool. These are specifically the corporate websites, the service(s) websites, and the general product line information websites. A professional looking website can be the touch of class that a client needs to get off the fence. If you're doing any kind of online advertising, it may be the reason they found you in the first place.

THIS IS THE MOST POPULAR TYPE OF SITE ON THE INTERNET. We offer CUSTOM, one-of-a-kind sites that reflect your company logo, colors, look and feel. We do this with you on a one-on-one basis. Don't be fooled by "discount" sites that claim to be custom. They take your data and slap it into one of a few pre-designed templates. We don't have templates that we apply to any of our sites. Every site is created from scratch... the way it should be! We also include many extras (see "Inclusions" below) that many other website companies don't include, such as onsite training and custom header image design.

Package pricing includes reasonably sized, static pages from the list below. Pick any of the options below.

  1. Home Page – Intro to company, usually picture based with few words
  2. Products – Product specifications, images, dimensions, etc.
  3. Services – Services offered; training, consulting, cleaning, printing, moving, etc.
  4. Google Adwords Search Page – We'll use your existing Google AdWords account to create a google search for your site. We will set up a Google AdWords account for you if you don't have one. Adwords places Google Ads on your site (along with yours) and will produce income when customers click on it. Regular (non-Google) site search requires a programming charge of $199. Google AdWords setup costs $99 if you want Torchlight Design to do it for you.
  5. FAQ – a FAQ page can answer many questions that your potential clients may have before they have to pick up the phone to call.
  6. Testimonials – Prove customer satisfaction, company integrity, and competency through honest testimonials.
  7. Company History – How long you’ve been in business, landmarks, etc.
  8. Helpful Links – Links to industry, government, or other sites
  9. Employment – Posting for Job openings
  10. Events – Current/upcoming events page
  11. News – News bulletins from the company
  12. Certifications – Introducing company’s licenses, certifications, etc.
  13. Contact Us – Company address, locations, phone, fax, email, etc.
  14. Photo Gallery – This page is the exception to the rule on the limited number of pictures. We will create a page of tiled images. If you want thumbnails that pop-up into larger images or some kind of flash slideshow our hourly rate applies.
  15. Privacy Statement - This page is used to explain to customers how you use their information you might have collected; including email addresses (non-spam policy), whether you sell the information (addresses, phone numbers, names) you collect to third parties, etc.
  16. Disclaimer - This page is used for legal explaination/disclaimer regarding products, services, information, guarantees, etc. Torchlight Design does not and will not provide disclaimers. We suggest getting a disclaimer written by your company's attorney. Torchlight Design will simply transfer this digital document to your website.
  17. Sub-Category – Frequently, there is a need or reason to have a sub-category page. These sub-category pages count as a page and count toward the quantity discount.
  18. Other Pages are available if you can think of them! These are the most common pages we design, and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list.

*Topics may be combined into one page, however, the single page with multiple topics counts as two pages when determining "package pricing."

Pricing

Pricing varies by the job, depending on "goodies" and whether the contents of the page (text and images) are generated by Torchlight Design, or provided to Torchlight Design in a ready-to-use digital format. The following package prices do not include interactivity, databases, hosting, or custom hyper-link styles (color or decorations of: general links, hover/rollover interactivity, active link, or previously visited link).

  • Up to six (6) pages for $899
  • Up to eight (8) pages for $1,099
  • Up to ten (10) pages for $1,299
  • Up to twelve (12) pages for $1,399.
  • Ask for special pricing on static sites over 12 pages.

Inclusions

  1. Package includes one hour of consultation/design/planning – additional consultation, design, and planning incur our standard hourly rate.
  2. Package includes submission to a minimum of five (5) major search engines.
  3. Package includes one custom designed image header with image map navigation buttons on the header, or text based "buttons" just under the header. Interactive buttons (hover/light-up or push-button interactivity not included).
  4. Digital graphics must be provided by the client — our standard hourly rate applies for scanning, photographing, creating, or purchasing stock photo images.
  5. Each page must be the same color scheme, theme, and contain the same “layout” – our standard hourly rate applies for variations on a color scheme or theme.
  6. Digital content/text must be provided by the client – our standard hourly rate applies for dictating, scanning, proofreading, editing, and content creation.
  7. Setup for 5 Free Email addresses with YOURNAME(S)@YOURNAME.COM and web-based email and/or POP3 email access from Microsoft Outlook.

Common Options (Also see "Goodies")

  • Rollover effects on images, buttons, and links at standard hourly rate.
  • Advanced graphic effects – Faded edges, filter effects, alternate backgrounds, “oil painting,” other unique effects at standard hourly rate.
  • License-free stock photo graphics available - $20 each plus standard hourly rate to search, analyze, and/or resize.
  • Pop-up menus can add a dramatic effect to the site and help users find what they're looking for. We program these at our standard hourly rate.
  • Flash slideshows (pricing varies)
  • Forums ($150 install charge, plus standard hourly rate for setup and design/skinning)
  • Guest Books ($100/site)
  • Counters ($100/site)
  • Coding *.PDF download pages from non PDF data ($20 each)
  • Site-wide search coding ($199)
  • FTP setup/training for allowing clients to submit large files that would clog up email. ($59/hour for setup and local onsite training)

Informational Site Design

Torchlight Design will come to your business and sit down with you and your team to discuss your options for the layout and overall appearance of your site. The first hour of planning is included in the package price. Our normal hourly rate applies to planning that goes beyond the first hour.

Info Site Implementation


  • Implementation is where many businesses get bogged down (it's the details). This can turn into a waiting phase for developers. We can only implement images, descriptions, pricing (if applicable), etc. if we have the information from you. This is why we encourage the data gathering stage and content development is done with Torchlight Design.
  • Torchlight Design will incorporate pre-formatted images, pre-made descriptions, pre-determined information, etc. from digital media provided by the client. There is an additional charge for digitizing, formatting, and producing images; pricing calculations; descriptions; etc. These data will be discussed at the time of proposal.
  • We need approximately one to two weeks from the time we get all the images and content from you to complete the site. We will provide one "mock up" of the site in a non-functioning, strictly photo format for approval. Any major changes after the initial approval of the mock up will incur the standard hourly design rate.
  • Application design and database relationships are billed through our programmers at the hourly rate of $110/hour.

Informational Site Hosting


  • Hosting for Info-Only sites is the least expensive of the product websites starting at around $4.95/month (when paid in advance for 2 years) this rate goes up to as much as $16.95/month with the need for multiple domain names, forums and the like with SQL database relationships.
  • Hosting packages are available through ixwebhosting.com we have evaluated several hosting providers, and feel that they are the best for the price. We are also very familiar with their systems and they are an excellent company to work with.
  • Torchlight Design will transfer your existing domain name for free when we set you up through ixwebhosting.com.
