What We Need From You

Domain Name & Hosting Provider

If you wish to have a specific domain name and hosting provider, we ask that you have at least an idea in mind. We can go through the process of verifying and purchasing the domain name on your behalf, but you will pay the domain name and hosting provider(s) directly; this set-up service is included free of charge with a package website. We prefer to use ixwebhosting.com as our hosting provider, they are affordable, reliable, and they also supply you with a free domain name on qualifying accounts.

Content

The most important thing that we need from you is the text or content that you want on your website. We can be paid to develop this content for you based on existing brochures, portfolios, etc., but we would much rather get the content exactly as you want it on the website.

Our package pricing requires that all content be provided (unless specified otherwise in your quote.

Images

Remember the old saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words?" Who doesn't? That's because it's true. No one wants to look at a drab and boring site with no images.

If you want a site that is customized to your products or services, we recommend that you provide us with at least a few images of your building(s), employees, products, or an on-the-job service being performed. If you need images, we can come to your business or to your job site and shoot some digital photos. However it may be less expensive or preferred that we fill your site with royalty free stock images that we purchase from from our partners for about $10-$100 per image.

Direction

We don't want to have to rebuild the site after we're all done because you're unhappy. That's why we request that you keep involved along the way to give us direction. We want you to be completely satisfied with your site. We want you to be anxious to get your clients onto your site.

We will meet with you initially to coordinate your ideas into a sheet of random brainstorm ideas including: layout, colors, images, content, etc.
Your next step is after we create a "mock-up" of the site, which is basically a non-functioning image of your site with meaningless text and image placeholders. At this point you will review our layout and request changes to the site's appearance.
After we implement the appropriate changes, you will be asked to confirm the "final mock-up"
Your next step is to approve the content and layout of the final, working site, requesting any last minute changes.
And last but certainly not least, final approval of the entire site. This approval is required within 2 business days of completion, and is final. Any changes that occur after the final approval are subject to our standard hourly design rate of $59/hour.

Your Signature

Our number one concern is customer satisfaction. We want you to be happy with the site we create for you. This is why we stop each step of the way to get your signature of approval on almost everything we do. Your signature let's us know that you're happy with what we're doing along the way, and ultimately at the end of the project.

Your Referral

We appreciate testimonials that we can use on our site or marketing materials. However, word of mouth will always be the best way to increase business. Do you know someone that is looking for a website or print materials? We will give you a $50 credit for every paying customer that you refer. It doesn't matter how big or how small, any customer will do. Your contacts all get $25 design credits toward their first purchase with us too! Your credits are good toward future design purchases either print or web, and exclude products, and programming alone.
